जगज्जालपालं चलत्कण्ठमालं शरच्चन्द्रभालं महादैत्यकालम् । नभोनीलकायं दुरावारमायं सुपद्मासहायम् भजेऽहं भजेऽहं ॥१॥
jagajjālapālaṃ calatkaṇṭhamālaṃ śaraccandrabhālaṃ mahādaityakālam । nabhonīlakāyaṃ durāvāramāyaṃ supadmāsahāyam bhaje’haṃ bhaje’haṃ ॥1॥
He who protects the web of the worlds (universe), who wears a moving garland around His neck, whose forehead shines like the autumn moon, and who is the death of the great demons. Whose body is blue like the sky, whose Maya (illusion) is difficult to overcome, and who is the consort of the beautiful Padma (Lakshmi) - Him I worship, Him I worship. (1)
सदाम्भोधिवासं गलत्पुष्पहासं जगत्सन्निवासं शतादित्यभासम् । गदाचक्रशस्त्रं लसत्पीतवस्त्रं hसच्चारुवक्त्रं भजेऽहं भजेऽहं ॥२॥
sadāmbhodhivāsaṃ galatpuṣpahāsaṃ jagatsannivāsaṃ śatādityabhāsam । gadācakraśastraṃ lasatpītavastraṃ hasaccāruvaktraṃ bhaje’haṃ bhaje’haṃ ॥2॥
He who always resides in the ocean, whose smile is like a blossoming flower, who pervades the universe, and whose radiance is like a hundred suns. Who wields the mace and discus, wears shining yellow garments, and has a charming, smiling face - Him I worship, Him I worship. (2)
रमाकण्ठहारं श्रुतिव्रातसारं जलान्तर्विहारं धराभारहारम् । चिदानन्दरूपं मनोज्ञस्वरूपं ध्रुतानेकरूपं भजेऽहं भजेऽहं ॥३॥
ramākaṇṭhahāraṃ śrutivrātasāraṃ jalāntarvihāraṃ dharābhārahāram । cidānandarūpaṃ manojñasvarūpaṃ dhr̥tānekarūpaṃ bhaje’haṃ bhaje’haṃ ॥3॥
He who is the necklace of Lakshmi, the essence of the Vedas, who sports in the water, and removes the Earth's burden. Whose form is consciousness and bliss, captivatingly beautiful, and who assumes many forms - Him I worship, Him I worship. (3)
जराजन्महीनं परानन्दपीनं समाधानलीनं सदैवानवीनम् । जगज्जन्महेतुं सुरानीककेतुं त्रिलोकैकसेतुं भजेऽहं भजेऽहं ॥४॥
jarājanmahīnaṃ parānandapīnaṃ samādhānalīnaṃ sadaivānavīnam । jagajjanmahētuṃ surānīkakētuṃ trilōkaikasētuṃ bhaje’haṃ bhaje’haṃ ॥4॥
He who is without old age or birth, full of supreme bliss, absorbed in meditation, and ever-new. The cause of the universe's birth, the banner of the Devas, the sole bridge across the three worlds - Him I worship, Him I worship. (4)
कृताम्नायगानं खगाधीशयानं विमुक्तेर्निदानं हरारातिमानम् । स्वभक्तानुकूलं जगद्व्रुक्षमूलं निरस्तार्तशूलं भजेऽहं भजेऽहं ॥५॥
kṛtāmnāyagānaṃ khagādhīśayānaṃ vimuktērnidānaṃ harārātimānam । svabhaktānukūlaṃ jagadvrukṣamūlaṃ nirastārtaśūlaṃ bhaje’haṃ bhaje’haṃ ॥5॥
Whose glories are sung by the Vedas, who rides Garuda, the cause of liberation, and who destroys the pride of enemies. Who is favorable to His devotees, the root of the universe-tree, and removes the piercing pain of suffering - Him I worship, Him I worship. (5)
समस्तामरेशं द्विरेफाभकेशं जगद्विम्बलेशं ह्रुदाकाशदेशम् । सदा दिव्यदेहं विमुक्ताखिलेहं सुवैकुण्ठगेहं भजेऽहं भजेऽहं ॥६॥
samastāmarēśaṃ dvirēphābhakēśaṃ jagadvimbalēśaṃ hrudākāśadēśam । sadā divyadēhaṃ vimuktākhilēhaṃ suvaikuṇṭhagēhaṃ bhaje’haṃ bhaje’haṃ ॥6॥
The Lord of all Devas, whose hair is dark like bees, who holds a fragment of the universe's reflection, and who resides in the space of the heart. Who has an eternally divine body, is free from all worldly desires, and whose abode is Vaikuntha - Him I worship, Him I worship. (6)
सुरालिबलिष्ठं त्रिलोकीवरिष्ठं गुरूणां गरिष्ठं स्वरूपैकनिष्ठम् । सदा युद्धधीरं महावीरवीरं महाम्भोधितीरं भजेऽहं भजेऽहं ॥७॥
surālibaliṣṭhaṃ trilōkīvariṣṭhaṃ gurūṇāṁ gariṣṭhaṃ svarūpaikaniṣṭham । sadā yuddhadhīraṃ mahāvīravīraṃ mahāmbhōdhitīraṃ bhaje’haṃ bhaje’haṃ ॥7॥
The strongest among the hosts of Devas, the most excellent in the three worlds, the most venerable of Gurus, and established in His own true form. Who is always valiant in battle, the hero of heroes, and like the shore of the great ocean - Him I worship, Him I worship. (7)
रमावामभागं तलानग्रनागं कृताधीनयागं गतारागरागम् । मुनीन्द्रैः सुगीतं सुरैः संपरीतं गुणौधैरतीतं भजेऽहं भजेऽहं ॥८॥
ramāvāmabhāgaṃ talānagranāgaṃ kṛtādhīnayāgaṃ gatārāgarāgam । munīndraiḥ sugītaṃ suraiḥ samparītaṃ guṇaughairatītaṃ bhaje’haṃ bhaje’haṃ ॥8॥
Who has Lakshmi on His left side, who rests on the serpent Ananta, under whose control are all sacrifices, and who is beyond attachment and passion. Who is sung by the best of sages, surrounded by Devas, and transcends the multitude of Gunas - Him I worship, Him I worship. (8)
